To call a Bahamian number from another country, you need to use the international dialing code +1242, followed by the local number.
Firstly, you should explore the roaming plan options for the country you are visiting.
Secondly, prepaid customers have the option to purchase a Roam Easy Plan or a roaming data-only add-on if you are traveling to the U.S, Canada, Digicel Caribbean or Europe. Additionally, you can use data, SMS, and voice services with your wallet credit.
Select postpaid plans include the roam-free feature, which allows postpaid customers to roam with their active plan while in the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, you can purchase a roaming add-on (data only) if you are travelling to the U.S., Canada, or Digicel Caribbean. You can also use your International Roaming credit allocation for data, SMS, and voice.
When you arrive at your destination, modern devices will connect to an ALIV roaming partner network, by default. If your phone does not auto-connect to a network, then you can manually search for a network and connect.
