This Fair Use Policy outlines the guidelines for using zero-rated applications within our network. Zero-rating data allows you to use selected applications, such as WhatsApp, without consuming data from your primary data balance, up to a specified limit. This policy is designed to ensure fair access for all users and maintain high-quality service across our network.
Zero-rated usage is applicable for local on-net usage only and does not cover international data roaming. For each zero-rated application, zero-rated data usage is capped. Once this limit is reached, data usage for the application will switch to your regular data plan or incur standard data charges as per your plan’s terms. By using zero-rated services, you agree to this Fair Use Policy, including any specific data caps and usage terms associated with the zero-rated applications on your plan. Our network is monitored to prevent excessive or inappropriate use that could impact the experience of others. We reserve the right to adjust, reduce speeds, or limit access to the zero-rated application if usage exceeds the fair use limits or violates this policy.
Zero-rated data for unlimited WhatsApp messaging is intended exclusively for text messaging within the WhatsApp application. For freedom and liberty plans, “unlimited WhatsApp messaging” is defined as the ability to send and receive unlimited text messages on the WhatsApp mobile application, up to a data cap of 500MB. The use of “unlimited WhatsApp Messaging” does not include media sharing (such as stickers, documents, photos, videos, or voice notes), voice calls, or video calls. Any use outside of WhatsApp messaging will consume data from your primary plan’s data balance. Plans inclusive of unlimited WhatsApp messaging up to the fair usage threshold are the freedom5, freedom8, freedom15, liberty40 and liberty70.
The Unlimited WhatsApp Messaging service is intended for personal, non-commercial use. Any usage involving automated messaging, bulk messaging, or other activities that might impact network performance is prohibited. Aliv reserves the right to restrict or terminate access if misuse is detected. Aliv may adjust this policy regarding unlimited zero-rated data application usage from time to time. Customers will be notified of significant changes in advance, and continued use of the service indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
